This is where you orient your viewer towards your Memory Box, demonstrate your understanding of memory work as a political intervention and critical practice, and present your own piece as an intervention within contested histories. Questions you might want to engage (choose a few, not all of them!): What is memory work? How does it challenge conventional approaches to history and time? What forces, flows, and inheritances are you tracing in this work? How do you situate yourself, your family and communities within them? What does your memory box mark, track, mourn, or celebrate? How does it do this? What choices did you make in assembling and why? What did you learn through this process?
Please substantively engage at least two course readings (see above) and at least two external sources from your Annotated Bibliography. This means quoting and interpreting these texts and ideas in some depth and in clear relation to your own project. Include a works cited list; 2–3 double-spaced pages, normal point size/font.
