PLEASE CREATE IN WORD DOC OR OTHER PLATFORM, I will recreate in Visio!! The work developing the Inventory Management System in-house continues in this activity. The Context Diagram you created in Module 5 presented an overall logical picture of the Inventory Management System depicting how the External Entities interact with the system. Your tasks in this assignment are to utilize Microsoft Visio® in a process modeling activity to create two Data Flow Diagram Fragments and a Level 0 Diagram. Data Flow Diagram Fragments depict the business processes and the data that pass among them. DFD Fragments are combined into a Level 0 Diagram. To create the DFD fragments and the Level 0 DFD, utilize the Data Flow Model Diagram template. Locate the Data Flow Model Diagram template for first-time use by selecting New/Categories (not Office or Featured)/Software and Database/Data Flow Model Diagram/Create. Be sure to select the DATA FLOW MODEL DIAGRAM template and NOT the Data Flow Diagram template. The names are very similar. Utilize Gane-Sarson symbols and connectors. Select More Shapes/Software and Database/Software/Gane-Sarson in the Microsoft Visio® left-side Shapes menu. Use the Interface symbol for the External Entities. Be sure to follow the capitalization format of the Central Process, External Entity, Data Flow, and Data Store names presented in the textbook. Be sure to number the Central Process and Data Store data. You get to choose how to number the symbols. You do not have to follow the same numbering format presented in the textbook. The Microsoft Visio® Gane-Sarson numbering data differs from the data presented in the textbook. (PLEASE CREATE IN WORD DOC OR OTHER PLATFORM, I will recreate in Visio!!) There are three methods that can be utilized to integrate the TWO DFD Fragments into ONE Level 0 Data Flow Diagram: Connect the two Processes directly to each other. Connect the two Processes to the same External Entity. Connect the two Processes to the same Data Store. Do NOT connect External Entities to External Entities, Data Stores to Data Stores, or External Entities to Data Stores. Submit your TWO DFD Fragments and your Level 0 Diagram in ONE document that addresses the following: Submit the following data in EACH of your TWO DFD Fragments: 1 Process (Process names are verb-related). 2 External Entities (External Entity names are noun-related). 3 input Data Flows and 3 output Data Flows for each Process (Data Flow names are noun-related). 1 Data Store per Process (Data Store names are noun-related). 1 input Data Flow and 1 output Data Flow for each Data Store. Combine the data from the TWO DFD Fragments into ONE Level 0 Diagram by adding at least one Data Flow utilizing one of the three methods stated above to integrate the TWO DFD Fragments into ONE Level 0 Data Flow Diagram. Present the TWO DFD Fragments, one above the other, on the first page of the Visio document. Present the Level 0 Diagram on the second page of the Visio document.
